Caught up in the snow

It's monday morning again...nothing special about that...but when I got out of the house the harsh reality hit me like a train.

The thing is that I did not exit the appartment all weekend trying to get ride of a nasty cold I got last week...so I spent most of the time in bed...and it was soooo nice and warm in there that I did not imagine what was going on outside. Of course I could see that it started snowing somewhere Saturday morning and it snow continously for 2 whole days...but I was still confident that I was going to go to work in my car Monday morning.

Unfortunately for me the reality in front of my appartment building was not the one I imagined from my room. I could barely see my car underneath the tones of snow...and beeing parked on the main road all the snow from the road was pushed aside toward the margins, blocking this way all the parked cars:) I took a large breath of fresh air and headed toward the tram.

Hope it will stop snowing soon...I hate this city even more while is snowing.

It is settled

Even since my last trip, to the Scandinavian Countries, I was thinking on changing the continent this year, but I was mainly thinking at Latin America.

In a previous post I was planning a new adventure. It all began on the last year's Christmas day, when I recived a quite interesting invitation on Couch Surfing.

The enthusiasm from receiving the invitation past after a few more days, but after talking to a friend, who felt the same way I did the day I got it, it all came back. An then, when I saw there was someone else supporting the idea of such adventure I knew it can become real.

This destination is unique...it's another world, entirely different from our own..it's INDIA

This week we bought the plane tickets for March, so there's no turning back now...I can't wait to get there :)

My physical limits

This weekend I had the urge to get on the bike again and I had the luck of a very nice weather...so I gathered two more bike enthusiasts and we left Bucharest around 12.30 towards Cernica.

All was nice and wonderful until my two buddies came with the idea of a forest ride...

and I will leave the photos to show where I was last Sunday for about 3 hours (at one point I realy believed there was no way out of that forest):

And imagine at one moment in all that wilderness and mud 3 animals like this one were suddenly running toward us...in the few seconds my brain took to realize that there was a fence my heart stoped beating...

When we finnaly exit the forest there was mud everywhere...

Although I love biking I know my physical limits and that day they were reached...that's why at one point, late in the evening, on the way back to bucharest I "drown like a gypsy at shore" (like the boys told me) and I called a friend to pick me up.

That was the story ot that day...there will be others when I hope to improve my resistance.

I just don't get it

This morning I had to wake up at 5.30 because I had to catch a 7.35 flight to Cluj Napoca.

Everything was nice and smooth until the boarding moment. Of course all the flights were delayed due to heavy fog (understandable). Each 5 minutes the message: "Dear passangers, the flight no XXX to ABC is delayed do to weather conditions. We appologies and we thank you for your understanding" was heard in the speakers...WHAT FUCKING UNDERSTANDING???...I know it's an official message but it's freaking annoying...

The boarding of our flight was programmed at 07:05...of course it did not happen, but what really pissed me of was the fact that when they decided we should go to the airplane they put us on the bus and we waited...and we waited...I think we just stood there in the bus about 20 minutes until 2 idiots made their way to the gate...I'm just wondering now, after you do the check-in, beside going to the bathroom and drinking a coffee, which takes in average 10 minutes, what else can you do...can you get lost???...maybe, but how idiot can you be??? IS IT MEEEE??? :)))

Gusrabaaaaa...:))

Winter vacation

One of the reasons that I haven't written any new posts is firstly because during my stay at home i had a very bad internet connection and secondly because since I came back in Bucharest I had to struggle a little bit to reenter in the rhythm. Now I finally have some peace and quiet time to tell you all about my winter vacation.

It all started on the 23rd of December when I left Bucharest hopping for a great 11 days vacation.

The first event was Christmas...successfully spent at my aunt's.

Next was the amazing party Fane organized at his place for his name day:

The week 27-31 December I spent it visiting people and enjoying the snow almost as much as I used to do when I was a little girl:

The final event was the NYE which was "organized" in the last moment (one day before) t my place:))...and we did what we do best...play around:))...until the first sunrise of 2011:

That was it. Everything was fun...but now I'm back in this stinky city trying to get back in the old life rhythm.

P.S.: I'm planning a huge adventure, but I'll tell you more when I have something concrete.

Love u. Take care.

Break a leg:)

First of all I would like to wish you all a happy new year!

I was absent from the blog for a while due to a very bad internet connection and now I have so many things to tell, that I don't know where to begin...and that is why I am not going to bore you with my stories...today I just want to wish GOOD LUCK to a friend of mine. We only met briefly for some days during my stay in Denamark last year but I know she is a great girl and she deserves all the suport in the world...so, this post is dedicated to Andreea Gavrilovici...I wish you good luck with your final thesis and here is one of my favorite songs, it's kind of sad but I hope you'd like it.

Love u. Take care.
