The bucket list

I had the opportunity to see again, for I don't know how many times, "The bucket list" - it's that kind a movie it never gets old, I will see it over and over again and never get tired. The idea is simple but strong. In my opinion the human being is never happy, even when he gets to acomplish something he finds something new to desire - so there will always be a bucket list.

The Easter period is almost over, and as any other religious holiday I cam home to spend it with my family. The last 4 days I spend celebrating the resurection of Christ which, beside eating and drinking, also involves visiting or getting visits from all kind of relatives and people who used to know you since you were a kid. And each time the same questions pup up:"when will you get married?", "when will you have children?"... like a broken record...and my answer is still the same "I am to young for that shit" (the last part is only in my mind, for now...:)) )

That is how I realised that there are two versions of the bucket list...one that you do for yourself and one that people around you prepare for you. And each year I feel my bucket list is getting more and more different than what people expect from me to do. I said it once and I will say it again: Travelling is my priority for now and this world is to big for me to give up on it that easily.

This is me: http://www.solitarywanderer.com/2012/02/date-a-girl-who-travels/

So unless the population of the world depends on me procreating...just let me TRAVEL.

Take care.

good reason to start writing again:)

I have always thought that neither of the things and places we see on TV or read about are not real until we see them with our own eyes. That's why, today I am able to say that one of the most important purposes in my life is to travel, it's like an addiction...I just cannot live without knowing that in the near future I will travel somewhere new.

I just got back from a trip to Brazil...yes, the country from Tropa d'elite and Ciudad de Deus and I'm already thinking at the next destination.

The brazilian adventure started somewhere in may-june last year...it's been so long that I don't even remember:)). Even though it would be great just to wake up in the morning and to be financially capable to go whenever I want it is also great to feel the thrill of searching the best places to visit, the cheapest plane tickets and the best people to meet. That reminds me that i have to thanks again one of my best friends, Lavinia, for introducing me to the Couchsurfing world...that concept has changed my life and I truly believe that all the help you give to a foreign person in your country will get, one way or another, back to you when you're in a foreign place.

Today I just want to present an overview of our itinerary (and by "our" I mean me and the other Mada...the M&M team as we like to call ourselves :)) ) and start building the story of this adventure.

The itinerary was set somewhere at the end of august when, Rafael, a brazilian couchsurfer staid with me in Bucharest for 4 days...and it was something like this:
1. Sao Paulo - 2 days - 14, 15 February
2. flight to Foz de Iguacu, to see the waterfalls (one of the world natural wanders) - 3 days - 16,17,18
3. flight to Rio de Janeiro for the carnival - 3 days - 19,20,21
4. bus trip to Ilha Grande, just to sunbath and relax - 4 days - 22,23,24,25

I have been waiting for this trip for half a year and now that is over all I have left are the memories and photos and I will present them in details in the following posts.

Take care.
